Where are you based — does the timezone work for us?

Phnom Penh, Cambodia (GMT+7). That overlaps European mornings and US evenings, and I work async-first: written updates and weekly demos, so progress never blocks on finding a meeting slot. English is my working language.

How does freelance fit alongside your full-time role?

Deliberately. I take one mission per quarter, scoped and fixed, worked in dedicated evening and weekend blocks. The scoping is the point: you get senior attention on a bounded engagement with written milestones — not a distracted moonlighter on an open-ended one. If your project needs 40 hours a week, I'll tell you on the intro call and point you to someone good.

Will you sign an NDA? Who owns the code?

Yes to NDAs — I work for banks; confidentiality is the day job. You own all IP on paid work, transferred in full on final payment. The case studies on this site are anonymized to patterns for exactly that reason.

What does an engagement cost?

Accepted Answer

There's no public rate card because scope drives price. Fixed-price for defined scopes (sprints, audits), monthly for the retainer. The project brief form has budget bands — pick one and I'll tell you honestly what fits inside it, or what would need to change.

What stack do you work with?

Accepted Answer

Strongest: TypeScript (React, Next.js, NestJS), Python (FastAPI), Go, and Java (Spring Boot), on GCP and AWS with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform. Audits and rescue work can be stack-agnostic — architecture problems rhyme across languages.

How do payments work?

Accepted Answer

A deposit books the slot, then milestone invoices for fixed scopes or monthly for retainers. Bank transfer or Wise, in USD. Terms are written into the flight plan before any work starts, so there are no surprises on either side.

You get a reply within a day (GMT+7) — either clarifying questions or a link to book the intro call. The call is free and there's no obligation; if I'm not the right fit, I'll say so and suggest where to look instead.
